Fave new foundation!
For years Ive been swooning over the Armani Lumious silk foundation. I was so in love with it that nothing else could find its way into my makeup kit and I only had eyes for it. The lovely people at Tarte sent me there ReCreate Foundation spf 15 so I gave it a shot on myself first and I have to say it is A-MAZ-ING! First of all it is smooth, velvety, and makes you look absoutely perfect and on a positive note its almost half the price!!! 37 dollars sure beats Armani's 59.00.

M.A.C. Rebel lipstick
Deep Purple Lips
I am completely and utterly obsessed with purple lipstick. Its an intense lip to pull off but anyone can do it with a bit of confidence! Start off by just lightly dabbing the tube onto your lips with a little aquaphor to create the perfect stain.... if you're feeling up to it which I definitely am go full force and apply with opaqueness from the tube! With a lip like this you might want to keep everything else a bit bare. A bit of foundation to even out the skin, and maybe even no mascara. This lip is an accessory, own it! I love this makeup from the Peter Som show its the perfect way to wear a dark lip.

Check out this video I just did with DP Steven Pan for Lord and Taylor. There were lots of bold bright lips and dancing on set.
Fall Loeffler Randall Campaign shot by Jamie Isaia
A couple of months ago I worked on the Fall Loeffler Randall Campaign. We shot at a Boy Scout Camp in New Jersey and I got to work with the talented and cool Jamie Isaia. I really love her style and couldn't wait to finally work with her she is....RAD! You can view behind the scenes pics if you click on the above link!
Mark. Gloss Gorgeous stay on lip stain I'm a fan!
Today I got a lovely little package in the mail! I couldn't wait to tear it open so I did and there was no better place than the NYC subway at Prince St. What I found were some goodies from the people at Mark. cosmetics. I've been dying to try Mark. Gloss Gorgeous stay on lip stain. I've heard great things and best of all that this stay on color does NOT dry out your lips! I was a bit skeptical cause these "stay on" products are always a bit of a let down for me. I didn't want my lips to end up looking like I've been stranded in the desert for a month but with nice berry stain. So here I am 5 hours later and its still on! It has a punch of color and a moist finish, Mark. I am sold!

the best tinted moisturizer
Tartes Smooth Operator foundation is my new favorite.... It has an SPF 20 (although Id wear a higher sunscreen underneath) it doesn't leave your skin feeling sticky or heavy. Its extremely lightweight and oil free but offers the perfect amount of coverage for everyday wear. Oh and my favorite part about it.... its free of Parabens and has vitamins in it so its good for your skin! Parabens are cancer causing...they are NOT our friend.

Is your skincare/makeup harmful?
Our skin is by far our largest organ we slather it in creams that our supposed to help us be radiant, cellulite free, toned, bronzed. We also expose it to pollution and the suns rays on a daily basis but what are we really putting on our skin and could our products be harmful to our bodies? Everything we put topically on our skin is absorbed into our bloodstream scary right!
Dr. Mercola from Telegraph UK says:
Putting chemicals on your skin is actually far worse than ingesting them, because when you eat something the enzymes in your saliva and stomach help break it down and flush it out of your body. When you put these chemicals on your skin, however, it is absorbed straight into your blood stream without filtering of any kind, so there's no protection against the toxin. The five pounds of toxic chemicals per year you may be absorbing from the use of toiletries and beauty products are largely going directly to your delicate organs."
Check out this great site which can look up your products at home and tell you if they are harmful or not:

Germany I love you but come on Bearded Ladies oh wait I mean Bearded Bald ladies. Have we run out of ideas for makeup or have I just gotten use to the normal aesthetic of what beauty is?
